Almost big-sister // Canberra maternity photography

This was my last session before the winter holidays, and a pretty special note to end on. This is the fourth time I’ve photographed this family, but that’s not the only thing that makes them special: Emma’s newborn session marked a turning point for me in the way I approach newborn photography. So I hold these guys very dear, because it was their openness and trust that allowed me to explore something that has become an integral part of the Heartstory vision, and the drive behind my immense passion for documentary lifestyle newborn photography.

I hope you enjoy these images. Emma is about to become a big sister to identical twin girls. And I cannot wait to meet them!

Julianna - Gorgeous. And lovely light as always.

Jen Stocks - What an exciting time for this lovely family! I dig the fact they are having portraits before babies #2 & #3 arrive! Such a beautiful family – I hope you do a newborn session with their twins too! Exciting!

Lyn Walkerden - A beautiful session Katie. That first image is really something special. Dad’s expression is priceless!
