A beautiful Sunday afternoon | Canberra portrait photographer

I had the privilege of meeting a very special family last Sunday afternoon. It was different to what I usually do, but such a great session. They made me laugh so much, and I’ve been really looking forward to sharing these images ever since I started processing them!

This lovely couple really wanted me to capture them as they are right now, just being themselves, and they wanted their beloved dog to play a starring role.  And boy did I love photographing him! He was so good to me–and much easier than the average 8 month old baby!  I shot on location in one of Canberra’s oldest suburbs, and it’s a spot that is very close to my heart since I used to live there and I miss it very much.

I’d really like to take this opportunity to offer my services to couples who don’t have children. Pets are so important and how often do you get beautiful, artistic photographs of you and your dog/s together?! What fantastic memories! Of course, I think I would do much better with older dogs like this one, as they are much more placid and sit still for longer, but hey, I’ll give anything a go! This was just such a fun session and I love working with couples and capturing that love and connection between them.
